December and January photos

Hello! I am finally getting the chance to post a blog entry. I am sorry it has taken me so long. We had a wonderful holiday season and new year. We spent Christmas at our house with Uncle Cecil and Aunt Ag. We had a great time opening presents and eating prime rib (my first time making one). Christmas evening, Seth and I drove with the kids up to Truckee, Ca where we stayed in a rental house with Seth's family for one week. We had such a wonderful time together! The house was amazing and we even got some fresh snow while we were there. Isaac and his little brother, Bronson, got to spend the week with us, too. We had so much fun spending time on the slopes, making meals together, watching movies, going in the hot tub, and lots and lots of eating! It was great having all the kids together since Seth's family lives in the bay area and we don't get the chance to get together very often.

Since the holidays have passed, we have been busy as usual, but doing good. The kids caught a cold the first week of the new year and poor Caleb got it worse than his sisters. He ended up needing antibiotics for an ear infection and breathing treatments for wheezing. His doctor thinks he may have asthma, which wouldn't be surprising since he has seasonal allergies, nut allergies, and a history of eczema as a baby. Kids who have these types of illnesses combined commonly have asthma, as well. Fortunately, after his first dose of antibiotics, he really turned the corner and felt a lot better. I am happy that we have a nebulizer machine at home now in case we need it in the future. The kids ended up returning to preschool a week later than scheduled due to everyone being sick. Thankfully, everyone is healthy and back to their silly, wild, active and full of energy usual selves! They were a little timid returning to school after having a month off for winter break, but they seem to be back in the swing of things now.

Seth has been traveling for work quite a bit between San Francisco and Reno. His company, Box, went public last week so that was exciting news. He really enjoys his job and feels fortunate to be at a great company. I'm still working at the hospital 2-3 days per week. I still refer to work as my "days off" and really love being with my coworkers and patients. On the days the kids go to preschool (Tuesdays & Thursdays), I try to catch up on errands, laundry, get groceries, and other day to day tasks, although the time seems to fly by. The kids are in school from 9:30 am until 12:30 pm which always goes by so quickly. I recently joined a couple of book clubs so sometimes during my free time I am trying to keep up on my books. All in all, we are doing great and feel so fortunate to be happy, healthy and , as always, enjoying watching our little munchkins change by the day! Here are some pictures from the past 2 months.
